PUTRAJAYA: Marking his 100 days in office today, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad remains committed in his fight against corruption and abuse of power, regardless of position or rank.

In his “Open Letter to Malaysians” to mark the 100 days, he also reminded politicians, civil servants, law enforcement officers and the judiciary to stay away from the two practices or face the music.

He said his men would certainly not be affected by power or influence in carrying out their duties to go all out against the perpetrators.

“For those who are still ‘lulled’ by ‘being fed’, hear me out … stop all kinds of betrayal that point to corruption and abuse of power.

“Submit (yourself) and surrender. Don’t be boastful as you might eventually fall,” said Dzulkifli.

He said although the daunting task could be frightening, the MACC staff would remain committed in fighting against the immoral acts despite their lives being at stake at times.

Thus, he wanted the judiciary to be a strong fortress for the people who were now seeking justice, by being bold in their decisions and imposing punishments on the guilty.

“To the judges, be fair and bold in making decisions.

“Punish those hardcore perpetrators who are still drifting away without being scared to serve as a lesson to others.”

As for politicians, Dzulkifli reminded the leaders to carry out the mandate given by the people and to fight for them.
