Carrying the theme Corporate Malaysia – The Way Forward, Musa, who is chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation, will deliver the first keynote address entitled Governance, An Urgent Global Issue.
He will be followed by chairman of Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Sulaiman Mahbob who will speak on Corporate Governance Practices in Private Sector Boards.
Other speakers include Latifah Merican, Deputy President of the Malaysian Economic Association and former assistant governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, as well as Ambrin Buang, the Auditor-General of Malaysia.
Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Rohani Abdul Karim will deliver the launching speech.
To be held on Nov 21 and 22 at the One World Hotel, WIM CEO Dr Nellie Tan-Wong said the conference was targeted at company directors as well as senior management officers in both the public and private sectors.
Tan-Wong, who is a practising chartered accountant and former member of the Women’s World’s Banking, New York will also chair the first plenary session and deliver the concluding remarks as the conference’s organising chairman.
Designed to be a dynamic platform that encourages two-way communication, the conference will consist of plenary sessions in which panellists will respond to the keynote addresses as well as answer questions and comments from conference participants.
Among the panellists are former law minister and social activist Zaid Ibrahim; Siti Sa’diah Sheikh Bakir of KPJ Healthcare Berhad; Ramon Navaratnam of the ASLI Centre of Public Policy Studies; Derek Lee of Axcelasia Columbus Sdn Bhd; Dr N Krishna Moorthy, Advocate and Solicitor; Professor Terence Gomes of Universiti Malaya; Dr Michael Yeoh of the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute; and R Nadeswaran of The Sun.
The Early Bird rate of RM2,000 for the two-day conference is valid till Nov 7, after which the normal rate of RM2,400 applies.
