According to news portal Malaysiakini, Abdul Yunus Jamhari posted the caricature on his Facebook page under the name ‘Rakyat Marhaen’ on Oct 22.

In the caricature captioned ‘Bapa Songlap Negara’ (Father of Corruption), Najib is seen flashing his middle finger and holding a wad of RM100 notes.

According to the report, Abdul Yunus has agreed to give his statement at the MCMC office in Bandar Meru Raya, Ipoh at 11am tomorrow.

The caricature of Najib wearing clown makeup was first posted by graphic artist Fahmi Reza for a poster campaign early this year. The images swept across social media with the hashtag #KitaSemuaPenghasut which translates to “we are all seditious.”

In June, Fahmi was charged under the Communications and Multimedia Act over the same caricature.
