In congratulating Shafie for the formation of the party, also known as Warisan, PPBM Secretary-General Shahruddin Md Salleh said they were excited to collaborate with each other.

“It will bring about a positive change in the current national political landscape, which is plagued by a lack of confidence.

“We are confident that Warisan has the same basis for struggles that are in line with PPBM,” he said in a press statement.

He also said the collaboration between the two parties will be able to replace the current administration with a government that is based on integrity, honesty, justice and fairness.

Earlier today, the former Umno Cabinet member confirmed that the Registrar of Societies (RoS) had approved Warisan’s party logo.

Former PKR lawmaker Darell Leiking will be the party’s No 2 while Peter Anthony, Jaujan Sambakong and Junz Wong were named as vice presidents and Loretto S Padua Jr as its secretary-general.

Shafie said Warisan will work with anyone, including other Opposition parties, as long as they have a common goal of defeating the Barisan Nasional.
