PETALING JAYA: Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh today asked citizens to stop spreading false information on a woman named Rozita Othman, who was buried at the Taman Gelora Christian Cemetery, Kuantan.
Fuziah, in a statement today, explained that Rozita was a Christian Orang Asli from Kampung Soi, Kuantan.
“This is confirmed by the death certificate. This information is also confirmed by the cousin on Facebook,” she posted on Facebook.
Previously, there was an uproar on social media when Terengganu PAS Commissioner Saiful Bahri Mamat uploaded a photograph on Facebook, accompanied with a caption that accused a Malay lady of being “murtad” (apostate) and being laid to rest in the cemetery.
FMT has found that the status has since been edited and Saiful has since apologised.
