
Speaking to reporters today, Tengku Adnan said that BN had already agreed, before the last general election, that all political parties should declare funds that they had raised.
“But it is the Opposition who does not want to accept it. This is the problem, they do not agree, so we did not continue with the idea. We are ready, any time,” said Tengku Adnan.
In a statement yesterday to welcome a proposed law on political funding, Najib had suggested that political financing should be monitored by a neutral party but it needs the approval of the Opposition.
