Harian Metro reported Dr Vida was no longer interested in sponsoring the Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors team.

She told the paper that sponsoring sports activities would no longer be her priority, preferring to give attention to making movies, and health and beauty products.

She had drawn wide publicity with her offer to sponsor the Kelantan football team, even insisting that the Kota Bharu stadium be painted in pink to reflect the colour of her beauty products.

She told Harian Metro that she had done a lot for the Red Warriors but was disappointed with its performance.

“Apart from having to spend a lot of money, I have also been ridiculed on social media for getting involved in football.

“Some comments have hurt.”

However, Kelantan Football Association President Annuar Musa said Dr Vida had a two-year agreement to sponsor the team until November 2017.

“She is still tied to the contract. As such this issue should not arise,” he told Berita Harian.
