PETALING JAYA: A 17-year-old disabled girl has been hospitalised after sustaining injuries from stab wounds.

In the incident, two schoolmates of K Akileswari, beat her up, then stabbed her with a toothbrush, The Star Online reported, quoting Makkal Osai.

Akileswari, who is a Form Five student of SMK Taman Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, has endured such vicious attacks before, her mother said.

Angered by the recent incident that has resulted in her daughter having to be warded. Akileswari’s mother said she had lodged complaints with the school authorities before but that no one had bothered to take any concrete steps to look into the matter.

Senawang state assemblyman P Gunasekaren, who visited the girl in hospital, has now intervened, calling on the authorities to act immediately to identify those responsible for the vicious attack.
