KUALA LUMPUR: A Belgian who participated in the Hash Challenge International Run here is feared missing in a rubber estate in Kuala Kubu Bharu when he failed to turn up at the finish line.
Thomas Cools, 34, was among 88 participants who took part in the event, which began at Ladang Rasa at 7am Saturday and ended at Lembah Beringin at 7.30pm the same day.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Mohd Sani Harul said a search and rescue operation had been mounted with the cooperation of the organiser.
He said the international run involved 68 men and 20 women passing through several ‘water points’ including in Rasa, Kuala Kubu Bharu and Kerling.
