Party president R.S. Thanenthiran said seven motions would be presented, including a motion to build the first secondary Tamil school in the country.
“We hope that this motion can bring changes to those Indian teenagers who fall behind in their studies and restore Tamil literature in national education.
“Other motions that will be discussed at the meeting are education, economic and social development of the Indian community in this country,” he told Bernama today.
Thanenthiran said deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was scheduled to open the meeting, which has the theme of New Hope, “chosen because we believe that a good mix of new and old faces in Barisan Nasional will lead to the party’s success in the 14th general election”.
