M’sia condemns attack at Davao City

Foreign Ministry advises Malaysians in the Philippines to be extra vigilant and closely monitor as well as follow instructions issued by the authorities.

PUTRAJAYA:
Malaysia has condemned the bomb attack that took place at Roxas Street, Davao City, Philippines yesterday, which caused loss of innocent lives, injuries, and damage to properties.

In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry said the government of Malaysia extended its deepest sympathies and condolences to the government and people of the Philippines as well as to families and victims affected by the attack.

“The ministry would like to advise Malaysians in the country to be extra vigilant and closely monitor as well as follow instructions issued by the Philippine authorities,” it added.

The explosion which occurred yesterday at around 10.20pm resulted in 12 deaths and left 60 injured.
