Johor Sultan resting after angioplasty operation

Menteri besar says Ruler received treatment in Singapore after complaining of chest pains while exercising.

PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Johor has successfully undergone angioplasty in Singapore and is recuperating at Istana Pasir Pelangi, the state government said yesterday.

Johor Menteri Besar Mohd Khaled Nordin said in a statement that Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar had received treatment at Gleneagles Medical Centre after complaining of chest pain while exercising.

He said the Sultan’s condition was “stable and good”.
