
MALACCA: A senior officer with the title “Datuk” of a government department in Malacca, who was detained for alleged corruption has been released today on a RM300,000 bail.
The order was issued by Malacca Magistrate’s Court assistant registration officer Mohd Anuar Ostadi.
The 56-year-old suspect was detained Aug 15 for investigation under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009 over alleged corruption.
He was among three civil servants arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on Aug 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Kelantan for corruption, abuse of power and money laundering.
