Ampang Jaya District Police Chief ACP Hamzah Alias said the 15-year-old girl, wearing jeans and a red scarf, was said to have been pulled into either a Perodua Myvi or Perodua Viva car, as reported by eye witnesses.
“As of now, we are still investigating the incident on whether the motive was to kidnap or otherwise. This is because we have not received any reports of a missing person from family members or any other party.”
According to eye witness Samsiah Osman, 74, she was cleaning up her house when she heard the teenager crying for help.
“At the time (of the incident) I was in the house (cleaning up) when a white car, believed to be either a Perodua Myvi or Viva, suddenly stopped in front of my house.
“Then, suddenly, I heard a girl of about 15 years, wearing the red scarf, shouting for help when she was pulled into the back seat of the car by a man,” she told Bernama.
She said there were two men in the car, including the driver.
“When I went out to get a closer look, the white car sped off,” said Samsiah.
Another witness, Othman Mohamad, 32, who was met at the scene said the car was believed to have entered the housing area via the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).
He said roads in the area were quiet, as most residents in the housing area were out at work.
