PETALING JAYA: Firemen were called to rescue a three-year-old boy from a locked car in Sungai Buloh today after his parents failed to open the door.
The Fire and Rescue Department said a call was received from the child’s guardian at around 1.20pm. Officers arrived at the scene ten minutes later, and broke the front passenger window to free the boy.
He was seated on the rear seat. An officer said the parents had attempted to get the boy out of the car themselves for around half an hour before calling Fire and Rescue.
The car had been locked from the inside while the engine was still running.
