GEORGE TOWN: Pokemon Go mania was reported to have brought traffic to a crawl in parts of the city and mainland Penang on Saturday as crowds of players gathered in public places trying to catch the virtual reality creatures.
NST Online said the sheer number of people on the streets at major areas near shopping centres slowed traffic all through the evening, thinning out only before daybreak.
There were large crowds seen at the Sunway Carnival Mall on the mainland and Persiaran Karpal Singh on the island, the report said.
