District police chief Supt Shariffuddin Yusof said Muhammad Ikram Akil Zamzani was found lifeless in one of the hot spring pools by members of the public who then informed the centre’s management.

He said Baling hospital personnel confirmed on arrival at the scene that the victim was already dead.

“Police were informed of the incident by the victim’s father through a phone call at 1.45am,” Shariffuddin told Bernama.

The victim’s body was brought back home to Taman Bersatu, Kuala Nerang, for burial.
