KUALA LUMPUR:
Police are seeking the help of those who witnessed the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old moneylender at a traffic light junction in Setapak last Wednesday.

Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said a probe was on-going and police needed more information to assist investigations.

“We urge members of the public who have information about the case to come forward to assist us,” he told Bernama when contacted today.

In the incident, V Kandasamy, who was driving a Honda Accord, died on the spot after being shot at multiple times at close range by two gunmen after he had stopped at a traffic light.

Yesterday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim said a special team had been set up to hunt down the suspects.
