Wong was gunned down in Taman OUG on the first day of Aidil Fitri. She was in a Toyota Vellfire car with her children and maid. Her daughter, seated in the front passenger seat, was hit when the gunmen fired five bullets at the car.
The girl suffered injuries to her intestine in nine places, as reported by The Star Online.
Police investigations found that a RM13 million business deal was the reason behind the shooting. Wong was said to have transferred RM13 million to a businessman as investment in a business. Apparently nothing came of it.
The businessman was alleged to have engaged the services of two hitmen, at RM60,000, to kill Wong.
