Meanwhile, Sin Chew Daily reported that the suspects consisted of seven men and a woman, including the mastermind behind the shooting.

On July 6, the 32-year-old victim was in her car when she was shot dead at close range by two unknown assailants on a motorcycle along Jalan Hujan Mas at 2.30pm.

The suspects were believed to have fired five shots at the vehicle, with one hitting the woman in the neck.

Her daughter, who was in the front passenger seat, was also injured. The eight-year-old later underwent surgery and is now in stable condition.

It was previously reported that the victim and her 39-year-old husband – who runs a cosmetics business – were involved in a Pyramid scheme in China and had returned to Malaysia after turning a profit.
