According to a report in The Star Online, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) CEO Razlan Razali, said in a statement today that the multi-Grammy Award winning artiste would perform at the 18th Formula 1 Malaysia Grand Prix after-race concert on October 2.
“This year, we are pleased to bring fans a magnetic performance by one of the best-selling artistes in American music history.
“In 2010, 10,000 Usher fans in Malaysia had the opportunity to catch their favourite star in concert, so don’t miss your chance this year,” Razlan said.
Usher, who is famous for numbers like “OMG” and “DJ got us falling in love”, also recently collaborated with local songstress Yuna on her single, “Crush.”
The F1 race takes place between September 30 and October 2 this year at the Sepang International Circuit. Some of the stars who have graced the stage in previous years include DJ Calvin Harris, rock band Guns N’ Roses and K-pop group Girls’ Generation.
This year, SIC provides the Star Stand – a special seating zone that allows ticket holders priority viewing of the concert and a great view of the circuit during the race.
Ticket prices for the Star Stand cost RM183.38 for adults and RM93.28 for children. For RM225.78, tickets will come with exclusive merchandise.
