In a press statement, GMM CEO Nasharudin Mat Isa said those involved in the latest terror attack, which has killed at least 84 people including several children, should be brought to justice regardless of creed.
“These acts of terror, in taking the lives of the innocent and the young, in all manner of forms and manifestation are criminal and unjustifiable, and should never be attributed to any nationality, ethnicity or religion.”
He called for perpetrators, organisers and financiers of such reprehensible acts of terror to be brought to justice.
GMM also expressed its sympathies and condolences to the family members of the victims.
“The Global Movement of Moderates stands in solidarity with the people and Government of France and prays for a united front in countering all forms of terrorism and violent extremism.”
Meanwhile, Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah took to twitter to condemn the attack which happened as people were celebrating France’s Bastille Day.
“We grieve and condemn the barbarity , always in solidarity #Nice,” she tweeted.
