PETALING JAYA:
The husband of real estate agent Wong Siu Ling, shot dead in Taman OUG here last week, had received threats from a businessman three months ago.

Kuala Lumpur Deputy CID chief ACP Mohd Hanafiah Arshad told The Sun that police were now looking for the businessman for questioning.

“The case was classified as criminal intimidation and we are trying to trace him to record a statement.

“The threat was over a business-related matter. But we are investigating every possible aspect that can lead us to solving the murder case, not merely business as the motive.”

The news portal said police had questioned several people, but there had been no positive developments so far.

The shooting occurred soon after Wong had lunch at a restaurant and was about to leave for Penang for a holiday with her children and maid last Wednesday.

She was driving her Toyota Vellfire, with her five children and a maid in Jalan Hujan Emas 4 when a motorcyclist and his pillion rider rode up to the driver’s side.

Five shots were fired and one hit her in the neck, killing her.

Her eight-year-old daughter, who was in the front passenger seat, was critically injured when a bullet hit her belly.

The young girl later underwent two surgeries at the University Malaya Medical Centre.
