
In a statement today, the airline said the aircraft would be flying across its network of destinations spanning Bengaluru, New Delhi, Goa, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag and Kochi.
“The Kabali fever is getting hotter by the day with fans, worldwide, riding on the Rajini wave.
“We are delighted to partner one of the most awaited movies of the year.
“This special plane, powered by Rajinikanth, quite literally, is dedicated to his fans across the globe.
“This is AirAsia’s way of paying tribute to the one and only superstar in the country,” said its Chief Executive Officer Amar Abrol.
As an official airline partner for the movie, AirAsia India had planned a special flight from Bengaluru to Chennai for fans to watch the first show of the movie on the day of its release.
AirAsia India began its operations on June 12, 2014, with an Airbus A320.
The airline currently has a fleet of six aircraft serving 10 destinations and 12 routes in India and has flown over 2.7 million guests as of date.
