PETALING JAYA:
Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd has been granted all approvals required to commence the operations of the Kelana Jaya and Ampang Line Extension Project (LEP), Land Transport Transport Commission (SPAD) confirmed in a press statement.

SPAD Chief Executive Officer Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah said Prasarana had submitted all required documentation to the commission on June 16, which was compulsory for the LEP to be granted the green light to commence operations.

“SPAD has reviewed and approved Prasarana’s application as they have complied with all requirements under the Land Public Transport Act 2010.

“This includes the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC), a document issued by the architect supervising the project, as part of a conditional requirement when submitting an application for the opening of a new line.”

SPAD clarified that the submission of the CCC by Prasarana to the Subang Jaya Town Council (MPSJ) was completed for endorsement.

“SPAD remains the final authority to approve the opening of new lines.

“In facilitating seamless connectivity for commuters, Prasarana has assured SPAD that it will mitigate parking facilities at Station 4 (Subang Jaya) and Station 7 (USJ 7) of the Kelana Jaya Line LEP swiftly by working with property developers and landowners in the said areas,” he added.

The LEP will be launched by Prime Minister Najib Razak on June 30.
