KUALA LUMPUR: A technician pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to a charge of raping his girlfriend’s 13-year-old sister.
Muhammad Syahir Naim Ramli, 20, was charged with raping the girl in a house at Jalan 9/56 Ulu Klang here at 12.30pm on May 15.
The charge, under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, provides a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and to whipping, if found guilty.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Liyana Zawani Mohd Radzi did not propose bail as the offence was non-bailable.
Judge M. Kunasundary set July 25 for mention.
