MIC treasurer-general S Vell Paari, who dubbed Rafizi his own worst enemy, said the Pandan MP once appeared as a high flying political leader, but was now bent on blaming the rakyat for the Opposition’s loss in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar.
“While Rafizi and his twin brother Tony Pua (of DAP) talks about old ideas of hate politics, lying about everything, slandering the prime minister, attacking 1MDB and Tabung Haji, the PM has continuously brought positive changes to his administration.
“This has been acknowledged even by the United Nations and World Bank,” said Vell Paari in a press statement today.
He said the rakyat was fed-up with the hate politics practiced by the Opposition as evidenced by the landslide victory BN achieved in the recent by-elections that showed the people wanted Prime Minister Najib Razak to run the country, he added.
“My advice to Rafizi and his colleagues is, don’t blame the rakyat. Times have changed and people are smarter now with social media, information is at our fingertips. The rakyat has rejected your style of hate politics,” he said.
Vell Paari said Rafizi must realise that voters in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar were merely exercising their democratic rights to choose their preferred leaders.
“The rakyat do not trust the Opposition anymore. Rafizi must stop blaming the rakyat for his party’s poor showing. He must stop being a sore loser. If he can’t stand politics or losing, he should take a sabbatical.”
Vell Paari is the second BN-linked personality after Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed to slam Rafizi for saying that BN’s victory in the by-elections was due to the “diseases” of racial and religious sentiments, and materialism, plaguing the rakyat.
