Group chief executive officer of Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (Litrak) Sazally Saidi said the discount would begin at midnight until 11.59pm the following day.
“It is expected that almost 492,000 motorists using the LDP and Sprint highways will benefit from the toll subsidy of RM235,000 from Litrak,” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after a breaking of fast event organised by Litrak with about 40 children from the Baitul Ufah Welfare and Guidance Association, Seri Kembangan, here yesterday.
“Litrak hopes that through this move, we can share the joy of our road users in celebrating Syawal,” he said.
Sazally said between 2010 and 2015, a total of RM8.6 million in toll subsidies were given to almost 13.1 million LDP and Sprint users during the major festive seasons in Malaysia.
