Azmin, who visited Bashah with leaders from Penang PKR, said the MB was “very happy” when his entourage arrived at the Penang Hospital at 9.30pm today.
“He has started with therapy sessions and has begun a soft diet.
“He was exceptionally happy to see us come visit and I wished him a speedy recovery,” Azmin told reporters outside the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit wards here today.
Bashah was admitted to the hospital after fainting in a state Barisan Nasional meeting at a hotel in Alor Star, Kedah, two weeks ago.
He was admitted to a private hospital and was then transferred to Penang Hospital for a minor surgery to his intestines.
Meanwhile, Azmin also conveyed his best regards and prayers to Bashah’s family, hoping that he will be discharged soon.
“The family also told me that they are very happy with the care given by the Penang Hospital and I hear the equipment is also top notch. I believe our Kedah MB will be given good care here,” Azmin added.
