However, no plea was recorded from Mohamad Jazrin Mohamad Azaha, 22, after the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Mohd Azrul Hasyimi Mohammad.

Mohamad Jazrin was charged with knowingly dealing with terrorist property belonging to IS fighter Muhammad Wandy Mohamed Jedi, 25, by allowing transactions from and into his RHB Bank account.

The offence was allegedly committed at No 67 and 69, Jalan Tasik, 31600, Gopeng, between January and February this year.

The charge, under Section 130Q (1) of the Penal Code, carries imprisonment of up to 20 years, or fine, and forfeiture of the property involved.

Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Nurul Azriah Zaid, who prosecuted, said no bail would be offered as the case involved offences under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012.

The court set July 27 for mention to transfer the case to the Kuala Lumpur High Court.

Mohamad Jazrin was unrepresented.
