In a statement today, Sekinchan DAP State Assemblyman Ng Suee Lim condemned it as an act of vandalism and expressed shock and disgust.
He said the billboards contained messages pertaining to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the RM2.4 billion controversial political donation in conjunction with the Sungai Besar by-election this Saturday.
Ng, together with Selangor DAP Chairman Tony Pua and Balakong Assemblyman Eddie Ng Tien Chee, took members of the media for a tour of the damaged billboards this morning.
He felt two different teams carried out these irresponsible activities in a coordinated manner.
He said the billboards were still untouched at 2am.
Ng urged all those responsible to stop such despicable acts in line with the principle of having clean and fair elections, citing similar incidents during his own campaign during the 2013 General Election.
He said he had an idea who was responsible for these acts of vandalism but did not want to name anybody for now.
Ng urged the police and the Election Commission to be impartial and take action against those responsible.
