Borneo Post Online quoted Wong saying that Dr Jerip Susil, Dr Johnical Rayong Ngipa and Ranum Mina, were subsequently reinstated.
The trio had quit UPP and stood as Barisan Nasional (BN) direct candidates in the Sarawak state election last month, before applying to become members of PBB, which is the main BN coalition partner in the state.
“The party (UPP) had rejected their resignation and like me, I was reinstated and became the party’s president again,” Wong was quoted.
“Officially, they have not resigned. But never mind, when we reach (the timeline), they will cross the bridge.
They have applied to join PBB but let’s wait until the one month (end of June) is up. Let’s see what happens.”
Yesterday, Jerip and Johnical had in a press conference proclaimed that they were no longer part of UPP and were now considered partyless.
Their acceptance into PBB is also pending after Chief Minister Adenan Satem asked them to gauge feedback from the grassroots first.
Meanwhile, the portal also spoke to Jerip, who said he was carrying out a survey to see which BN party to join.
He is in the midst of speaking to his constituents, NGOs, community leaders and associations.
Johnical is also reportedly doing the same.
“I have to talk to my people. If they say I can join PBB, then I will join. If they say don’t, then I will not.
“It is up to the people because they are my voters,” he was quoted.
