According to Hilmi, Bashah was able to converse and appeared to be in good spirits.
“Bashah is stable and his health has improved.
“We could have moved him to a regular ward, but he has asked to remain in the Intensive Care Unit for privacy,” Hilmi told reporters after visiting Bashah at the Penang Hospital today.
Bashah was admitted to the hospital last Saturday after fainting in a meeting in Alor Star, Kedah.
He was admitted to a private hospital and was then transferred to Penang Hospital for minor surgery to his intestines.
Earlier, Health Minister Dr S Subramaniam and several members of the Kedah royalty paid Bashah a visit.
