PAS should be with Pakatan, says former S’gor MB

In going against BN in GE14, PAS should join hands with PH to ensure one-on-one fights instead of three-cornered contests, says Muhammad Muhammad Taib.

SUNGAI BESAR:
There are only two parties that matter in the Sungai Besar by-election – Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Making this observation, former Selangor Menteri Besar Muhammad Muhammad Taib said that in going against BN, PAS should in future join hands with PH to ensure one-on-one fights instead of three-cornered ones.

“In the 14th General Election, we want to change the government from BN to PH, so PAS should be with PH.

“People are complaining, including Tun Mahathir, who is being very vocal,” he said when met at the Sungai Besar Amanah office here today.

Muhammad, who is aligned to PKR, claimed the rakyat had no other choice other than PH because PAS was seen as not having a strict stand when it comes to national issues.

“I feel that PH is an entity that can take over the governance of the country.”

He said the situation at present was uncertain although usually BN would emerge victorious in instances of a three-cornered fight.

“I don’t think it is easy. When it is split like this, BN will usually have the advantage.

“But we don’t know the voting trend today.

“If the rakyat does not want BN, then please pick PH – there are only two choices now.”
