
378 passengers and crew were on board the flight from London Heathrow when the incident occurred.
In a statement issued by Malaysia Airlines Berhad, a medical crew and senior management of the airline met the aircraft on arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
According to the statement, medical officers treated the few among the passengers and crew who sustained light injuries.
“Malaysia Airlines sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused by this weather event which was entirely beyond our control,” it said in the statement.
