She said any act of corruption or misconduct would not be protected and she was placing all her trust in Azmin, Star Online reported.
Wan Azizah said PKR’s enemies had made use of the upcoming twin by-elections to try and split the party with such corruption allegations and slandering the Selangor Government and its leaders.
On Monday, PKR Secretary-General Rafizi Ramli had lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over alleged graft in the Selangor Government.
Wan Azizah, with whom Rafizi is seen to be aligned, had instructed him to submit any evidence of any alleged corruption to the MACC.
The allegations first surfaced in a PKR members’ WhatsApp group message that was leaked. Rafizi later confirmed that he wrote the message.
The message claimed money and women were sought in alleged dealings with the state government.
Azmin denounced the allegations saying there was no proof and said this was part of a systematic smear campaign against the state government.
