Earlier today, Salleh accused PKR of “crying wolf”, adding that the party consists of people with “nothing better to do”.
Nurul Izzah refuted this and urged Salleh to “read up” on PKR’s history.
“I only have the PAC report and ongoing investigations on more than nine countries to validate ourselves or pat ourselves on the back. Back in 2010, Anwar Ibrahim made criticisms towards the Terengganu Investment Authority, later to be known as 1MDB. He raised concerns which today have been proven right, thank God.
“Not for Umno (to talk) because they are burdening us with almost RM50 billion in debt. Perhaps the minister would like to read our history a bit and then judge us accordingly,” she told reporters outside the Dewan Rakyat today.
She also urged Malaysians to scrutinise Salleh’s statements.
Prior to this, Salleh said that it has come to a stage that if PKR or any of its leaders make an allegation of corruption against anyone, “we can more or less safely brush aside that allegation as one more, of many instances, of crying wolf by people who have nothing better to do”.
“Barely two years after Khalid Ibrahim was ousted as Selangor Menteri Besar, allegations of corruption are being made by PKR Secretary-General Rafizi Ramli against the Selangor Government or leaders in the government,” Salleh, who is also Communications and Multimedia Minister, said in his latest blog posting.
