IPOH:
The Barisan Nasional will not bring out any manifesto for the Kuala Kangsar parliamentary by-election, said Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Instead, he said, the BN would continue to implement the development pledge made by the late MP Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad.

The pledge included infrastructure development desired by the people of the Manong and Bukit Chandan state constituencies that were within the parliamentary constituency, he said.

He also said that the federal and Perak governments would give priority to several pressing issues, including the construction of a bridge in Manong.

“Do not regard this as a political promise; it is just a continuation of the work pledged.

“Kuala Kangsar will not be neglected under any circumstances,” he told reporters after chairing a meeting to discuss development programmes for the Kuala Kangsar district at the Perak Darul Ridzuan building here today.
