Sinar Online quoted Zainuddin’s 27-year-old son, Muhammad Arif, as saying that his father was still unconscious but that his condition was stable.

“Alhamdulillah (thank God) my father is out of the OT (Operating theater) and the doctor says his operation was successful. The tumour has been removed.

Zainuddin was taken to hospital on Friday when he was found unconscious at his house. After conducting a scan, doctors verified that immediate surgery was required.

Muhammad Arif said that according to doctors, the 24 hours after the surgery was the most critical period.

“My father is still being sedated for the next 24 hours. The 24 hours after surgery is still critical. Visitors are not allowed to visit him during these 24 hours but after that insya-Allah (God willing) he can have visitors.

“I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for all your prayers. Please continue praying for my father’s recovery,” he said.
