The troubled airline’s owner, Ravi Alagendrran told news portal mStar that Hasmiza should not use Rayani Air to gain popularity.
He said this following reports that Hasmiza was interested in buying Rayani Air shares.
Later on, she reportedly said she did not want to buy into a business that had debts, stating she was not looking to “wash dirty plates”.
Ravi, in slamming her remarks, said Datuk Vida, founder of the Qu Puteh cosmetic brand, should meet him in person if she was serious about buying the shares.
“These aren’t debts. They are operating costs.
“Vida can buy the shares, but don’t say things like ‘not wanting to wash dirty plates’ until she meets me.
“If she is not interested, she can say it nicely,” Ravi told mStar.
“If Vida is still not interested, she can open up her own airline company.
“Don’t use airlines like Rayani Air to gain popularity.”
Stating that he was in touch with Datuk Vida on her interest to acquire shares in Rayani Air, Ravi said she replied: “I hope to meet you soon.”
Meanwhile, Ravi said the opportunity was still there if Datuk Vida was interested in either taking over Rayani Air or acquiring 51% of its shares.
However, Ravi insisted that she do it professionally and in person.
