The Malay Mail Online reported that police were however still establishing the link between the two victims – Saravanan Gopal, 29, and the other victim, as well as the motive behind their gruesome murders.
Saravanan’s body was found in the boot of a BMW fished out of a disused mining pool in Puchong last Sunday. An autopsy revealed he had been shot in the head and chest.
Meanwhile, the other victim was found dumped in the boot of a charred Honda Accord in Hulu Langat, last Thursday. He too had been shot in the head. The car was registered to R Mathialagan, 43.
Police have so far arrested seven suspects in connection with Saravanan’s murder, including two Bangladeshis who worked near the mining pool where his car was found.
The remaining five suspects, all locals, are believed to be known to both victims.
The portal also reported yesterday, quoting a source, that the double murders could be linked to drugs and territorial disputes between two rival gangs.
