“It’s a grey area,” said Chong, who is also the constituency’s representative.
He lamented that voters were shifted out and alleged there was an increase in the number of army voters.
Chong will go head-to-head with BN-SUPP candidate Wilfred Yap in the state election come May 7.
He refused to comment further, saying he will disclose more details in the next couple of days.
Meanwhile, DAP’s Padungan candidate Wong King Wei is confident the party will be able to retain Padungan and Pending and turn it into DAP’s backyard.
“They have the highest composition of Chinese voters.
“So we are confident of retaining these two seats despite the Adenan effect,” he said in reference to Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem.
Wong said although voters had taken to Adenan following some of the initiatives he had implemented, they still desired a strong check-and-balance to ensure the CM does not become like his predecessor, Taib Mahmud.
He, however, admitted the party had to work harder to retain the majority it gained for Padungan in the last state election.
Currently, he admitted the chances to repeat such a performance was 50-50.
