PETRAJAYA: Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) chairman Annuar Musa has denied that its main sponsor cosmestic goddess Dr Hasmiza Othman (Datuk Vida) was pulling out from sponsoring the state football team.
“I did not hear anything from her that she is going to terminate the sponsorship,” he said when met at a school programme here today.
He added Datuk Vida, being Kafa’s main sponsor, was just unhappy about the team’s performance.
The matter, he said, probably served as a wake-up call to the players to step up their game.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Datuk Vida had threatened to stop sponsoring the team.
For her to reconsider her decision to pull out, Datuk Vida said The Red Warriors would have to win its two upcoming matches — against Felda United and Selangor.
