Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said the test began last year, with the aim of ensuring members recruited were of quality and had high integrity.
“Only those who pass this test will be called for interview,” he told reporters at the launch of the test at the PDRM exhibition booth at the 2016 Asia Defence Service conference and exhibition here yesterday.
The test was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Ahmad Zahid spent about 15 minutes at the exhibition site before visiting other booths including local army radio technology company Safura Secured Technologies, uniform suppliers Jakel Defence System Sdn Bhd and French fighter aircraft manufacturer Rafale International.
Commenting further on the test, Khalid said it was a high technology integrity evaluation which was supported and jointly developed by PDRM with the cooperation of the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry via the research agency MIMOS Berhad.
He said the test would also be used for placement and promotion.
“In addition, the personal quality and credibility of an individual, specifically in his career, leadership capability and orderliness in carrying out his duty can be identified via the test,” Khalid added.
