KUALA LUMPUR: The authorities have raided the premises four times, and the owner was even charged in court, yet this entertainment outlet in Bandar Puteri Puchong continued to flout the law by engaging the services of foreign women without work permits in its business.
In the fifth raid conducted at about 11pm on Thursday, police detained 22 Vietnamese women working as “guest relations officers”, aged between 20 and 30.
ASP Roslin Mohd Isa of Serdang police said the premises had been raided on several occasions since January 2015.
“A local man in his late 30s, who was manning the counter at the entertainment centre, was also arrested after he was identified as the outlet manager,” he said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of employing foreigners who were without valid work permit, he added.
