Lim said that TV3 had been playing up and prejudicing the issue every night, as he was preparing to go face to face with Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan on Tuesday.
“Why at the time he did not talk about it when there were TV programs prejudicing the investigations? TV3 every night prejudiced investigations. Why has he not been tweeting two weeks ago? Only tweet now when there is a debate between me and Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
“Is it because he is trying to save Abdul Rahman?,” he said at a press conference at Sarawak DAP headquarters today. Lim is on a visit for the DAP’s preparations for the coming Sarawak election.
This morning Khalid said on Twitter that all television stations should cancel planes for the proposed live telecast of the debate to avoid affecting the investigations and prejudicing the witnesses of the case.
TV3 backed down today, saying it would abide by the advice of the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. MACC investigations director Azam Baki and Khalid had both said a debate was unnecessary while investigations were continuing.
