She said she could not fathom how such false “stories” had emerged.
She described it as an act to deliberately mislead the people of Johor.
“I would like to make it clear that those stories about the move to topple the MB are untrue. We, deputy ministers from Johor who work in Kuala Lumpur, are the mandate bearers of the people of Johor.
“We stay loyal to the Sultan of Johor and the state of Johor. Where do these people, spreading rumours and causing disputes, come from?” she told reporters after handing over the offer letter for the Bandar Dato’ Onn private affordable housing scheme (MyHome) here Tuesday.
Halimah, who is also Tenggara MP, was commenting on allegations that there was a plot led by an individual to replace Khaled as Johor Menteri Besar.
Halimah said Khaled’s leadership in Johor could be assessed by the various changes and developments achieved by the state.
All the development planned by the state government under the leadership of Khaled was part of the people’s agenda and was in line with their aspirations, she said.
“So, to the people of Johor, do not fall for those libellous stories which are deliberately created to cause disharmony among the people of Johor.”
