KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia said the Auditor-General’s report on 1MDB is still classified under the Official Secrets Act 1972, hence, it cannot be debated in Parliament.

“It is under the OSA. It has not been been declassified. It is a special report to the Public Accounts Committee.

“I would be violating the OSA if I allow a matter, which is still a secret, to be tabled in Parliament.”

He said this when R. Sivarasa (PKR-Subang) questioned the non-availability of the Auditor-General’s report on 1MDB.

Another lawmaker, Lee Boon Chye (Gopeng -PKR) also questioned the reason the PAC report was made public but not the Auditor- General’s report.

The PAC’s 106-page report on 1MDB was released today after several delays.
