Ali urged the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to act against the Pandan MP for claiming that as long as Prime Minister Najib Razak was in power, he and his wife would use collections from the GST for their personal use, and as they saw fit.
Rafizi’s speech was slanderous and was intended to sway public opinion against Najib and his family, Ali said after lodging a report against the former at the Dang Wangi police headquarters today.
Ali urged the police to act swiftly against Rafizi, as they did against him and his Red Shirts movement, following the recent episode outside the DAP headquarters in Jalan Pudu.
If the police failed to do so, it would give the impression that opposition leaders were above the law, and that only ordinary citizens are held responsible for their actions, said Ali.
