KUALA LUMPUR: 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) today confirmed that all payments to Perbadanan Perwira Hartanah Malaysia (PPHM) under the Pangkalan Udara Kuala Lumpur relocation construction contract are current and there are no amounts outstanding.
In a statement, 1MDB said it had met all its financial debt interest and principal payments when due, despite going through a challenging period in 2015.
The company said this in response to allegations made by PKR Vice-President Rafizi Ramli in relation to the contract between 1MDB and PPHM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera.
“We urge Rafizi to stop his politically motivated, desperate and irresponsible attempts to wrongfully implicate 1MDB in such matters,” it said.
